So you’ve got the wonderful news that your offer has been accepted!

One of the first things you’ve likely begun to ponder is what you’re going to take with you and what you’ll release back into the universe. I bet what follows are the famous last words..

“I’ll go through everything when I unpack”

But why even bring things that don’t bring you joy into your new home?

There are many things to consider when moving into a new home. I’ve collected my fair share of tips, tricks, and wisdom over the last 25 years working in the Real Estate, Architecture and Interior Design industries. Today I want to go over the basics of moving out of your old home.

Although excitement about your new home is paramount, you’ll need to take a step back and look at your existing life. Think about those things that are most important for you. Decide what to take forward with you and what you should let go of before starting the next stage of your life.

I know this sounds very deep but you are in a perfect situation to reevaluate and level up.

Marie Kondo every box! Closets are a given but drawers, storage areas, and furniture should not be forgotten.
